Japanese for face mask, these unique KAO MASUKU are perfect for everday wear such as essential journeys on public transport, trips out to the shops or pharmacy, hospital appointments , days out on socially distanced walks and visits to see friends.
World Health Organisation (WHO) and many national governments now recommend or require non-medical fabric face coverings in public places or on transportation. And so face masks are becoming a common sight around the world. In Japan they have been part of daily wear for decades and have led to fashion trends in their own right.
We now introduce you to our styles. KAO MASUKU is committed to customer satisfaction and we will go out of our way to ensure you are satisfied with your face masks.
About our masks
KAO MASUKU was founded in 2020 by Tadashi Kato in Co.Wicklow, Ireland.
Tadashi, a Japanese artist and designer is making these masks from the finest materials and to exacting standards. Seams are finely stitched and finished by hand.
All masks come with a small tab on the bottom so you are sure you have the mask on the correct way round. Each mask is made from two layers of fabric . The inner fabric layer is 100% Egyptian cotton. This cotton has a high thread count which improves filtering.
Masks are available in adult and child sizes and are secured to your face with elastic ear loops to ensure a comfortable, snug fit.. If you are allergic to elastic, let us know on the order form and we can make your mask with fabric ties.
To care for your mask we recommend hand washing in 30°c water with bar soap.

We have sourced our face mask fabrics from Ireland, Germany and the United Kingdom and we use both cotton and poly-cotton materials.
